Design Challenge
The client was looking to create a usable space on an unusable slope to take advantage of the beautiful sunsets and entertain guests with a pool and fire pit. They needed to maximize the sloped area to increase their homes value.
Design Solution
To handle the slopes, we created multiple tiered terraces to maximize the use of the outdoor space. The upper terrace is complete with a natural bluestone patio and fire pit nestled within a beautiful perennial garden. The upper terrace became a relaxing place to watch the sunsets over the Mohawk River. The lower terrace is complete a bluestone patio and a linear pool that makes use of turf and bluestone, which is perfect for entertaining guests.
